No Parking. Major Traffic. Real Danger.

1.

111 units with zero parking on Huntington Drive will:

  • Intensify congestion

  • Push more parking chaos into residential streets

  • Create unsafe crossing conditions

  • People will be hurt or killed by vehicles because of this design.

  • The City of Los Angeles is investing in a multi-modal redesign precisely because of the volume of vehicles, transit, and pedestrians using this corridor daily. This 111-unit development was not part of that study.

2.

Unsafe Conditions Were Created — Not Addressed

The illegal demolition left blight and instability one block from a recently resolved long-term homeless crisis encampment.

  • This is reckless.

  • This is irresponsible.

  • This is unacceptable.

3.

A Pattern El Sereno
Knows Too Well

El Sereno has already paid the price of corrupt development— most infamously under former Councilmember José Huizar, now in federal prison.

  • No backroom deals.

  • No silence.

  • No more targeting El Sereno.

This high-density project is being advanced under Mayor Bass’ Executive authority, raising concerns about cumulative impact, traffic, parking, infrastructure strain, neighborhood character, and the lack of any study.

This type of development would never be pushed through without scrutiny in West LA, Alhambra, or South Pasadena.

So why here?
Why us?

4.

this will devastate the small business community on Huntington Drive

Our small business community on Huntington Drive is a historical and valued part of our community's economic base.

  • Boyle Heights has been forever & negatively changed by unchecked development like this.

  • We won’t let El Sereno be next.

  • Our small businesses deserve protection.

  • Say no to weakening our business corridor.
